When Anise Brewer suddenly loses her home, her relationship, and her grandmother, she finds herself with no other option but to come back to New Avalon.

Hoping to slip into town unnoticed, she meets Verity Hart, a woman whose ability to always see the truth has made her a pariah.

Anise’s blossoming ability to make magical tea, a trait she’s inherited from her late grandmother, is an unexpected development. But with Verity’s help Anise soon finds herself embracing Grandma Cami’s legacy as well as her shop, Tea & Tales.

For Shelby Fraser, being the teenage daughter of the beloved mayor isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Her ability to get away with literally anything, a quirk she calls “Shelby-blindness”, leaves her feeling invisible. That is until she meets Verity and Anise, the only people in town who can see the real her.

Yet, things are not as they seem in the quaint town of New Avalon. The three women soon realise they will each need to embrace their gifts if they hope to free the townsfolk from the Mayoral thraldom that has blinded them for generations.

A story about intergenerational female friendships, Tea Leaf Magic is a tale of love and loss, lies and truth, and the struggle for acceptance.

And, as the title suggests, it includes a dose of the magic only found in a good cup of tea.
